Shannon woke up the next morning in Amanda's bed. She had no recollection of the night before. She remembered going to Beth's party, and Aberdine was there, and everything after that was a blur. She rubbed her head. She had a slight headache and couldn't think straight.
Amanda sat up from her spot on the ground. "You're awake!" She said excitedly. "Thank god! Eddie and I were so worried! You were so out of it last night!"
"I don't know what happened." Shannon said rubbing her head wishing the pain would go away.
"Did you drink something that was spiked?" Amanda said climbing onto the bed next to Shannon.
"No. I only had the Sprite." She tried to remember the night before but her memory was entirely blank. "I don't remember anything from last night."
"Either you were hitting Beth's root beer REALLY hard or you were drugged."
Shannon turned to Amanda in horror. "Drugged? You don't think…"
"Well, Eddie says you showed signs of being drugged when we picked you up. You passed out in his back seat while we drove you here."
"Why would someone drug someone at a party?" Shannon asked not really wanting to know the answer. "Does Beth know?"
"I couldn't find her. Aberdine was still there when we left, she probably told her what happened." Amanda curled up next to Shannon. "How do you feel?"
"Scared. What happened last night?"
"I don't know but I saw you stumble out of the lounge where we found Aberdine. You didn't look too good so I called Eddie to come take you home."
"We're at your house though." Shannon said.
"You made it very clear you didn't want Fredrick to see you all…" Amanda thrust her arms out like a zombie and made a moaning noise. "If I wasn't so scared I would've been laughing."
Shannon hugged Amanda tightly and held on for a few minutes. "Thanks." She said, finally letting go. "Where's Eddie?"
"He went home last night. He was going to stop by today so we could all hang out."
"Can I borrow some cloths? I could really use a shower." Shannon said standing up.
"Sure." Amanda said standing up herself. She walked over to Shannon. "Are you sure you're OK? I mean. You were drugged last night. If it was me I'd be freaked out."
Shannon smiled. "I'm fine. I just need a shower."
