The universe is vast
and cold.
It's constantly expanding and growing
stars are born and stars are dying
and everyone just wants
to shine.
There's hope to see other planets
other life
more things to connect with.
But with the universe expanding
faster and faster
That hope is rapidly dying.
We fight and squabble
launch warheads
bury the dead
and wonder what Kim Kardashian had for lunch.
We're not all scientists
We're not all slackers
We're not all saints
We're not all sinners
but we are all human.
