It's Shannon time!

It's time for another instalment of Shannon!

"I promise it'll be fun!" Shannon pleaded.

"I don't know. I sort of had plans this weekend." Amanda looked around reluctantly.

"What plans?" Shannon asked.

"You know what, I'll cancel. I don't get to hang out with my best friend all the time." Amanda smiled and hugged Shannon. "Maybe Eddie can drive us!"

"No, I just want it to be us." Shannon said.

"OK. Well, um, let me make a few calls and we'll head over." Amanda smiled nervously and shut the door leaving Shannon to stand outside. After a few minutes she returned looking less enthusiastic than when she left. "Lets go!" She said cheerfully.

Shannon eyed Amanda suspiciously. "What did you cancel?"

"Oh, nothing too important. They understood." Amanda smiled. "Lets go or we'll be late to the party!"

"The party doesn't end till Sunday night." Shannon said still eyeing Amanda suspiciously. "What are you hiding from me?"

Amanda laughed and started to walk away, "I wouldn't hide anything from you, Shannon, you know that. Come on! I told you, the plans weren't important, so I got out of them. Let's go party with Beth!"

"Ok." Shannon relented. She followed Amanda off the front step and they both walked in silence to Beth's house.

By the time they arrived they were tired of walking. Amanda sat on a decorative stone set up beside the door as Shannon rang the bell.

"Next time, we take a cab." Amanda said rubbing her feet.

Beth opened the door a moment later. The party was already in full swing, loud music played, the din of chatter permeated the house, and every room was lit up to its fullest. "Shannon! Amanda! You guys made it!" Beth cried, she opened the door and pulled them in. "The parties already started! Go grab a drink and have fun! Aberdine is here!"

"She is?" Shannon and Amanda asked simultaneously.

"Yeah, Damien brought her!" Beth giggled "Aren't they cute together?" She whispered to Shannon.

"Yeah, I guess." Shannon replied unsure of what to say.

"Cool! By the way, just so you know, the root beer IS spiked." Beth nodded towards Amanda "I remember you got pretty hammered off it last time."

Amanda blushed. "I wouldn't say hammered."

Beth lead them into the kitchen and disappeared into the crowd.

"Since when did Aberdine get a boyfriend?" Amanda asked Shannon.

"You're guess is as good as mine. I saw them flirting but I didn't know they were together." Shannon admitted.

"Well, let's grab something safe to drink and mingle." Said Amanda. "When we run into Aberdine we can ask her ourselves."
