The story continues!

Oh how long will this story be? I don't have any clue. I have some ideas. I might keep writing it until I feel that its long enough. Maybe after I'll have the first draft of a novel?

Anyways! Here's the next installment!

"What are you doing here!?" Shannon demanded.

"Going to school. What else?" Eddie glared back at her. "Geez, how stupid can one person be?" Eddie rolled his eyes as he said this.

Shannon was furious. She wanted so badly to strangle the living daylights out of Eddie but instead she turned and walked over to Miss. Meriweather.

"Miss. Meriweather. Can I be seated someplace else?"

Miss. Meriweather checked her seating plan. "I'm sorry dear the only available desks are over there. For some reason all the other children decided to sit away from there. It's never really been a problem. Why do you want to move someplace else?"

"Because I don't like Eddie." Shannon admitted.

"Shannon. That's not a very nice thing to say." Miss Meriweather chastised.

"Well he's not a very nice person!" Shannon shot back.

"Shannon! That's enough! Now go take your seat and we'll begin today's lessons."

Shannon grumpily accepted and headed back to her seat. Eddie sneered at her as she took her seat next to him.

Miss. Meriweather waited for the class to settle before addressing them about the subject they would be tackling today. But Shannon and Eddie weren't interested.

"Just leave me alone, ok? I just want to learn." Shannon warned Eddie in a hushed tone.

"Funny. I was going to say the same thing to you." Eddie whispered back.

"Me? What did I do?" Shannon was shocked! How could Eddie think he was the victim here?

"Shannon! What is so important that you can't wait until after class to discuss?" Miss. Meriweather confronted the two.

"Miss. Meriweather. Shannon is distracting me from the lesson." Eddie made his voice sound as innocent as possible.

"I am not!" Shannon shouted.

"Shannon, leave Eddie alone. Eddie, be quiet." Miss. Meriweather went back to the lesson.

"Don't mess with me." Eddie whispered back to Shannon when no one was looking. Shannon just gave him a glare and tried to pay attention. "You won't win." Shannon ignored Eddies attempts to rile her up.

The continued mostly like that. Eddie would try to bother Shannon. Sometimes she let him get the better of her and would respond in kind. They'd both get yelled at and Shannon would resolve to be more resolute in her attempts to ignore him.

At recess Eddie threw rocks at her, during lunch he stole half her sandwich and threw it out. Amanda tried to fight Eddie but Shannon made her promise to leave him alone. She didn't want to get into any more trouble than she already had.

At the end of the day Miss. Meriweather held Shannon after class to discuss her problem with Eddie.

"I've never seen two people who just couldn't get along. All day you two have been at each other. What did he do to get under your skin so much?"

"He's a jerk! He just keeps picking on me!" Shannon immediately jumped on the chance to voice all her concerns. She never hated anyone as much as she hated Eddie and now she could get it all off her chest.

Miss. Meriweather just listened to her objections and waited until Shannon was finished. "A lot of the other children have complained about Eddie. I was hoping someone new might make him soften up, but I guess I was wrong. I'll give his parents a call tonight. You're free to go, Shannon."

"Thank you, Miss. Meriweather." Shannon said and left.
