Feeling under the weather

I have the biggest headache I've ever had right now, so today is gonna be a cope-out day again.

Lawrence Pritchard worked at a library. He liked his job but hated how boring it got sometimes. His job was to clean the stacks and make sure all the computers were shut off at the end of the day. It was a good job, it paid the bills, and thats all that mattered to Lawrence. That is, until one day after work he was called over by his boss to discuss the library and its future.

"What do you mean the library is closing?"

"Not enough people come here anymore. Our funding from the city has been cut substantially, it's just the way the world is going. I'm sorry Lawrence, but by the end of the month, the library will be closed. I'm telling you now so you can start looking for a new job."

Lawrence had to sit down. It was a lot to take in. "I'll let you gather yourself." His boss said as he walked out. Lawrence just nodded silently. He never thought what he'd do if he couldn't work at the library. If he lost his job he'd lose his house. He needed that pay cheque.

Lawrence just walked out of office and out of the library in a daze and began his search for something new to cling to in his life. He knew no matter what he found, his life wouldn't be the same again.
