Poetry Slam Mondays!

I kind of wish I didn't make Friday's "Free Verse Fridays" cause then I wouldn't feel guilty about writing in free verse on Poetry Slam Mondays.

I should do slam poetry sometime.


Welcome to the real world cadet!
Where you're over taxed and swimming in debt!
Where the best job you get is as a burger flipper!
If you lack dignity can be a stripper!
If you want to go far than make the right friends!
And over exploit the lower ends!

If you ever tire of the toil and strife
Then help yourself to a better life!
With faster cars and better booze!
And every few weeks you take a cruise!
If you want to be the leader of the pack!
Then step on the others and never look back!

But if humble beginnings is where your from!
The best you'll aspire is to be a beach bum!
Because working hard is a thing of the past!
Now the key is to be the right class!
But don't worry! They'll make a place for you too!
And that place will be with the others under their shoe!
