The reason today's entry took so long was because I spent most of it hunting that Mary Shelley quote! Do you know how hard it was to find? I finally found it though!

And I found a bunch of other awesome quotes.

I'm actually a huge fan of Frankenstein. It's a great read if you get a chance, check it out! Be warned though, I think you need to be ready for it to read it. When I first tried reading it, I was bored out of my head and didn't want to read it at all!

But years later I gave it another shot and fell in love with it!

I think poetry has to be an emotional thing. You can't just sit down and say "Hey! I'm going to write a poem!" You have to be in some kind of emotional state, be it sadness, frustration, anger, anxiety, or happiness.

Today I'm feeling rather neutral. I could write about how I hate my job. Or I could just as easily express my excitement for this upcoming weekend!

The crazy thing about writing is every time I write more of Shannon I think I've written less than a page worth of material. I'm always surprised to see how much I actually write though.

A free verse Friday is one of my favorite days. It's so freeing!
I've always had an affinity for free verse, even when I was little.

It might have something to do with my inability to rhyme without assitance.


I know it's it a bit early for Christmas theme'd stuff, but, it's my favorite time of the year, so NYA!
