Some Shannon

Shannon!

Things are heating up! Politically of course...

Shannon and Aberdine put in Amanda's candidacy for student council president on the last day before March Break. They agreed to not talk about the student council presidents race until after March Break. They had earned a week of rest.

After a very relaxing, and productive week for Shannon, they all met up before classes resumed on the first day back.

"Hey guys! How was your March Break!?" Shannon asked as she raced up the front steps of the school. "I didn't do a lot because I was busy catching up on homework." She admitted.

"I spent it at my parents cabin." Amanda said stretching. "I'm not ready to go back to school yet."

"I spent it working on your campaign platform." Aberdine said slapping a stack of papers against Amanda.

"Aberdine! We agreed we wouldn't think or talk about the campaign until after March Break!" Shannon protested.

"You agreed to that." Aberdine pointed out. "Besides, do you think Cassie is taking March Break off to relax? She's probably up to something nasty for her re-election."

"Actually she is taking it off." Amanda said. "Jasmine told me her and her parents went on a two week vacation."

"So we have a week without Cassie to campaign?" Aberdine's eyes lit up. "Let's get started then! We don't have a minute to lose! If we can canvas this school before Cassie gets back she won't stand a chance at beating us in the presidential race."

"Wow, Black Adder." Amanda said crossing her arms. "I've never seen you so excited by anything. Maybe politics is your thing."

"I'm just passionate about fighting the establishment." Aberdine joked.

"So what's our first step?" Shannon asked.

"First," said Aberdine, "we get our names out there. Amanda Spencer for Student President!" She turned to Amanda and bowed. "President Spencer."

"President Amanda. I don't want to be so up tight." Amanda said.

"President Amanda, I like it. A real 'of the people' feel to it." Aberdine nodded in satisfaction. She jumped and turned to Shannon. "Step two, we assassinate Cassie's character. If everyone knows what a horrible person she really is, they won't want to vote for her."

"That's a bit mean, don't you think?" Shannon asked.

"Yeah, Black Adder. I don't want to win if if means we don't fight fairly." Amanda agreed.

"Cassie's not going to fight fair." Aberdine protested.

"Just because she is, doesn't mean we aren't!" Shannon shot back.

"Fine. But if things get too rough don't cry to me. You know how much I hate to say I told you so." Aberdine said.

"You love to say I told you so." Amanda retorted.

"I know." Aberdine smiled, turned and walked into the school.

"She's a ruthless campaign manager." Amanda said. Shannon nodded in agreement.
