Late Night Shannon!
It's like a late night snack, but way less fattening!
I really need to be way less random with this...
Exams passed grimly and Shannon managed to scrape a passing grade for her history class. During the week off Eddie was called home by his parents. He was to be back at the Baker's at the end of the first day of the second semester. So when the first day back arrived, Shannon walked to school by herself.
As she walked up the front steps there stood Amanda, her entourage, and Aberdine.
"Hurry up! We need to sync our schedules!" Amanda called as Shannon slowly ascended the front steps.
"Calm down. Eddie's not here. He won't be back until tonight." Shannon informed everyone. She handed over her schedule to Amanda who immediately started to compare it.
Amanda's eyes darted across the schedules as she tried to figure out what classes they had together. Shannon watched as Amanda's expression went from excitement, to confusion, to narrowly focused, and finally to frustration.
"What the heck!?" She cried. "Not a single class together?"
"Oh well," Aberdine chimed as she took her schedule back, "at least we have lunch together."
"Actually we don't!" Amanda cried again in outrage. "I have nothing with you guys!"
"Not even me?" Jasmine asked timidly.
"Not even with you!" Amanda threw her arms up in dismay. "It's like they're trying to keep us apart!"
Shannon giggled and gave Amanda a hug. "We'll still hang out on weekends."
"Ah well," Amanda relented "at least after class I can hang with Black Adder and Eddie." She threw an arm around Aberdine pulling her close.
"Woah there, Queenie!" Aberdine said peeling Amanda's arm off "I'm actually going to be joining the Event Planning Committee this semester."
"What!?" Amanda cried.
"REALLY!?" Shannon's eyes lit up with excitement.
"I thought you said the even planning committee is lame!" Amanda pointed out.
Aberdine shrugged. "I still do, but I spend most of my free time helping Shannon at their digs that I thought, what the heck, might as well join."
Shannon tackled Aberdine and gave her a huge hug. "You'll love it! I promise it's way better than I make it sound!"
"Here's hoping." Aberdine said rolling her eyes as the bell rang.
