"We need to decide!"

Shannon slammed her text book onto the lunch table startling Eddie and Aberdine.

"We're trying to eat here." Eddie cried choking back his sandwich. "What's the big idea?"

"Student Council President." Shannon said. Eddie just stared confused. "We need to get a new on elected. We need to decide who it's going to be how we're going to campaign."

"Shannon, I told you we have until March Break to submit a candidate." Aberdine said. "You're getting too worked up. We have a lot of time to prepare."

"But the sooner we start the less work we have to do later!" Shannon said slumping down and stretching across the table. "Please can we do this? I Want to see that Cassie is never made Student President again!"

"You could always start a smear campaign." suggested Eddie. "That's what all the real politicians do."

"We're not going to spread rumours." Shannon snapped.

"If we get someone elected it has to be someone whose popular enough to beat Cassie at her own game. And some one cunning enough to untwist her lies." Aberdine tapped her chin deep in thought. After a moment she snapped her fingers in realization. "We need to get Amanda!"

"Perfect!" Shannon cried. "Amanda would be totally on board for this!" We'll talk to her after school."

"You still need a platform to run on." Eddie said. "You can't just run on the sole idea you want to oust Cassie from power. You need to appeal to your voters and make them want to vote for you instead of her."

"Why would anyone want to vote for Cassie?" Shannon asked.

"While she's been president our sports teams have never looked better." Aberdine joked.

"That and she held several dances for them." Eddie pointed out. "And it's easier to keep electing someone who has experience. No one wants to elect someone who has no experience. They might do the job wrong."

"Why do you have to be so logical sometimes, Eddie." Shannon moaned. "I guess we'll just have to find out what the students want."

"How are we going to do that?" Aberdine laughed. "Ask each individual one?"

Shannon smiled wickedly.

"Oh no, Shannon I was joking! We can't do that!" Aberdine protested "Do you know how long it'll take?"

"Until about March Break?" Shannon smiled.
