Shannon

Once again we move along with Shannon's story.

Thankfully for Shannon, exams went by with little to no drama. Despite a few rough patches she passed all her exams with decent grades. Her math exam scores were the highest. She couldn't have been happier, and Fredrick and Meredith couldn't have been more proud.

Although exams were over for Shannon Eddie, Amanda and Aberdine still had two days left. Shannon decided to pack and lunch and bring it to her friends who were studying in the cafetorium.

She found Eddie and Amanda studying together and Aberdine sitting at a table a few feet away. Shannon set the packed lunch down on the table and waved Aberdine over to join them. Aberdine shook her head.

"Shannon, DON'T invite her over." Amanda hissed.

"Yeah, neither of us like her." Eddie added.

"I like her and she is my friend. I made this lunch for all my friends, not just you guys." Shannon waved her over again. Aberdine rolled her eyes and went back to studying. Shannon pouted.

"I don't know how you can be friends with someone like her. She's so judgmental." Amanda picked up some of the snacks Shannon made and began eating.

"She's kind of mean, too." Eddie added.

"I'll admit, she's a bit rough around the edges..." Shannon started.

"She's more than rough!" Amanda interrupted. "If she was a stone she'd be made of sharp and pointy edges, nothing else!" Shannon opened her mouth to defend Aberdine but Amanda continued. "She's self centered, egotistic, and complete out of touch with fashion! I mean, who wears black ALL the time! It's like she's constantly going to a funeral."

"There's nothing wrong with how she dresses. She may wear a lot of black but at least she knows how to make it work for her." Shannon waved Aberdine over once again. Aberdine finally relented. She packed her stuff and walked over slowly. "Don't be mean to her. I'm her only friend and I don't want to exclude her from our group."

"Maybe there's a reason she has no friends." Eddied offered. Shannon shushed him quickly as Aberdine sat down.

"Ok, I'm here." She said dully, eyeing Amanda with suspicion.

"Since I'm done exams I decided to make you guys some lunch!" Shannon waved her arm across the partial eaten buffet of snacks and mini sandwiches she prepared.

Aberdine looked at the food for a moment before sitting down next to Shannon. "Thanks."

"You're welcome!" Shannon smiled. "So what do you have to study for today?"

"Art History." Aberdine took a bite of a mini sandwich, she looked at it questionably afterwards.

Amanda and Eddie burst into laughter. "Art History? How hard can that be? Just remember the name of famous painters and you've got an A!" Amanda laughed. Shannon hushed Amanda and Eddie. Eddie shut up but Amanda kept laughing.

"It's a lot tougher than remembering what fashions are in this year." Aberdine jabbed back.

"Not that you follow them anyways." Amanda retorted without effort.

"Amanda!" Shannon scolded.

"Black is symbol of power!"

"Blue is the new, black. You'd know that if you followed fashion."

"Guys! Stop!" Shannon was starting to get frustrated. Eddie just eyed the situation quietly.

"Not everyone's a sheep who follows fashion. They're people called 'trend setters' maybe you've heard of them?" Aberdine was rounding back.

"Everything about you is hideous! You'd look out of place, even at a funeral! I look good for every occasion." Amanda held her ground.

"You may be pretty on the outside but you're ugly on the inside!" Aberdine jabbed.

"At least there's a side of me that IS pretty!" Amanda countered.

"Enough!" Shannon shouted slamming her hands on the table. Any students that weren't watching the fight now looked up to see what all the commotion was. "I'm sick of hearing you guys fight! I just wanted to do something nice for my friends you had to ruin it!"

"Way to go, Aberdine!" Amanda chastized.

"You too!" Shannon shot a glare at Amanda. Amanda slunk back into her chair ashamed. "I'm sick of it!"

"She started it!" Aberdine pointed at Amanda defensively.

"I don't care! I don't want to talk to either of you until you stop fighting with each other!"

"Like that'll happen." Eddie muttered.

"SHUT UP, EDDIE!" All three girls shouted.

Shannon stood up and walked out of the cafetorium. The students in the area started to whisper to each other. Amanda sunk deeper into her chair. Aberdine took a handful of sandwiches and left.

Eddie yawned, stretched, and took a bite of a sandwich and went back to studying.
