The hardest thing about having a wild card day is deciding what to do with it.
I won't lie, sometimes I just want to sleep and forget about the blog. It's never easy to keep doing something every day. It's always worth it though.
My heart had been broken,
Shattered just like glass.
My girl had just left me,
For some greaser ass.
I took my car and I left town,
Thought I found someplace swell.
Thought I was running to paradise
But I was running to hell.
Found a small smoky hole in the wall,
I thought "This place has it all!"
The barkeep was an old man.
He nodded and said,
"Son you look like you need a drink.
You seem pretty dead.
Welcome to my humble abode,
Were everyone's always welcome.
Just one rule to remember here,
Forget where you came from."
And we all drank like fools until the end of dawn!
Forget who you are, what you've done, and forget where you've gone.
And we all danced like fools until the end of dawn!
We'll continue to dance for eternity so long as the music goes on.
The pub had been lively,
Music filled the air.
It felt too good to be true
Like some sweet, sweet affair.
Aromas had filled the air,
Of peat, moss, and spices.
And everyone who was in this place,
Entertained their vices.
This place was like heaven, true perfection.
I'd spent so long I lost recollection
I thought I was lucky,
To think I had been so naive.
I thought I'd found utopia,
But I couldn't leave.
The door had gone missing,
The walls started to close in.
My world had come crashing down,
My head started to spin.
I looked to the old man, asked "How do I leave this place?"
"This place is your home now." He said with a deadpan face.
And we all drank like fools until the end of dawn!
Forget who you are, what you've done, and forget where you've gone.
And we all danced like fools until the end of dawn!
We'll continue to dance for eternity so long as the music goes on.
