My quest to write sonnets continues! This week, Shakespearian or English Sonnet.
It appear that most of the internet thinks that Shakespearian Sonnet is the ONLY form of sonnet. It's certainly the most popular but there are a few other forms (including the Italian Sonnet I wrote last Monday).
Anyway, Enjoy the English Sonnet after the break.
When I sit down and start to write,
I don't always have inspiration.
All I want is to get it right,
And this can be a major vexation!
Sometimes, for spark, I turn to art,
I browse my extensive collection.
Although it's all dear to my heart,
I don't always make a connection.
I've tried music and reading jokes.
But procrastination ensues,
I even try talking to my folks,
But alas I don't find my muse.
In the end the answer I see,
Is that inspiration comes from me.
I have two passions, Art, and Writing! This is the writing side of my passion.
