Spenserian Sonnet

Today's is Spenserian Sonnet which will be the last specific kind of Sonnet you'll be seeing since the only other variety (to date) is the Indefinable Sonnet, which follows no specific structure.

As with all my sonnets, the structure is there, but the rhyme scheme is not. I'm not gonna pretend I at all know what I'm doing, but I'll be doing more research on it in the future.

This ones rather meta

I saw the doctor today
For a problem I've had for a while.
Although nothing to my fears was done to allay
I don't feel the least bit hostile.
The X-rays were done by a man with a smile
And I drove home in the junk heap car.
I maybe drove about a mile,
But in that heat box it felt real far.
I listened to a man playing guitar
He sang a cover of a song with no spirit
About a man who goes to the bar
Who's sexy and he knows it.
I finally sat behind my desk to write
This will have to be my entry tonight.
