A Heros Tale!

I like this one. It's short but neat.

Extra points if you know what story I'm telling with this!

I've waited so long for this moment. I imagined it in every scenario in my head over and over again. I thought about how it would feel to finally be here. I thought about how hard I would have to work to get here.

It all started so innocently, with a dream, or was it more of a nightmare? I just remember waking up in a panic late at night, the thunder booming, the rain falling. I knew I had to set out on my journey then.

I knew then it wouldn't be easy. I set out on my adventure in the mud and rain. I had nothing but my wits to defend me and somehow I made it. I went through countless trials, each more deadly than the last, only to be greeted by what can only be described as monsters of enormous sizes waiting for me. If it wasn't for my uncles entrusting me with his long sword I may have never made it through this with my life in tact.

Before I knew it I was wrapped up in something grander than me. Grander than both of us. I was traveling to all the corners of the world, uncovering ancient ruins and artifacts that told the tales about heros of old and the power to vanquish all evil.

It all seemed so daunting. I wanted to quit when after all my efforts I was drawn into a realm between world. But the thought of you kept me going. I knew I had to press on. For the world. For my uncle. For you.

I would never have believed at the start of this that I would be the one to save all life as I battled demons and hell spawn of all shapes and sizes. And after evil was slain and the world was made safe I found myself here.

Next to you.

And I don't know what to say.
