Sonnet

Now that I've written a few sonnets I'm not afraid to write them anymore. I'm still not amazing at them but still, I feel like they're not as terrifying as they were!

I find that as of late,
I stay up all the night,
For sleep to take me, I wait,
Until the signs of first light.
The sun shining ever bright,
It crests through my window pane.
Sleep evades me out of spite,
I must be the Sandman's bane.
My body's tired as is my brain,
I have to carry out my day,
This restless sleep has been a drain,
And the world to me looks full of grey.
Will my life, this terror keep,
As I wait to fall asleep?
