Today's entry is really short. It's actually the finishing half to last Thursday's entry. I didn't have time to write it then and got side tracked Sunday night otherwise I would've written it then.
Enjoy!
Shannon and Eddie waited at the entrance to the theatre. Amanda and Aberdine were supposed to be there soon. The four had settled on seeing a comedy. On in particular about a guy who gets in trouble with the law and is sentenced to work as a camp councillor for a fat camp.
Amanda was the first to get there. "Hey Shannon! Eddie!" She ran up from her mom's car and hugged them both. "My mom dropped me off, don't worry, she's not coming with us."
"Did you guys pick up Aberdine?" Shannon asked looking over Amanda's shoulder as the car drove away.
"No. She said she was getting here on her own."
Aberdine walked up, a few minutes later, from the direction of the bus stop. "You don't have to worry, I'm here." She joked.
"You took the bus?" Shannon asked.
"Yeah. How else was I going to get here."
"Oh." Shannon pouted. "I was hoping to meet your parents."
"I'm not really a, 'meet the parents' kinda person." Aberdine walked past them into the theatre. "So we doing this or what?"
They all followed Aberdine into the theatre and set off to enjoy their movie. They all took their seats, Eddie on the far right, Aberdine on the far left, and enjoyed the movie. Eddie seemed to be the most uncomfortable with the idea of a camp where you go to lose weight.
They were all laughing as they left the theatre.
"My favorite part was when he was cleaning the camp toilets and fell in." Shannon laughed.
"I thought that part was gross." Eddie said.
"You're just scared that someone will send you off to a fat camp." Amanda joked, poking Eddie in the tummy.
"I just think it's wrong to force people to lose weight." Eddie said. "Besides, the bigger I am the more there is to love."
"Yeah right, Eddie! You're a total stud magnet." Shannon and the others laughed. Eddie just stayed quiet.
"I'm glad we did this." Amanda said as the girls calmed down and left the theatre. "I think I needed it after the stressful few weeks of school."
"Yeah. Me too." Shannon added. "It's really taken my mind off..." Shannon stopped and stared off. The others looked to see what she was looking at.
Leaning against the wall just outside the theatre was Jeremy and Cassie. They were a ways away but everyone could clearly see them making out.
Shannon just stared silently. Amanda put her arm around her. "Come on, Shannon, let's go get something to eat before we head home."
